29-foot Illinois prairie scene painted at Kennekuk Environmental Education Center! Seeing it behind the taxidermied animals of Illinois' present and future species really brings it to life.
This was a full week of stepping way outside my comfort zone, and I couldn't be more proud of the results. Huge thanks to Lara Danzl, the Environmental Education Supervisor at Vermilion County Conservation District, for trusting me with this vision. She had been dreaming of this project for a while, and I was lucky enough to bring it to life (with her expert eye ensuring the plant species were just right!) Big thanks to the Vermilion County Conservation District for making it possible. Thank you to Kim Fox as well for showing my work to all of her coworkers and landing me this opportunity.
